We had a wonderful stay for my son’s wedding weekend….ideally located near town and close to Blue Valley Winery where wedding took place. Lots of picturesque vistas around the house, great place for pre-wedding photo’s of groom & groomsmen…..I held a brunch on Sunday, kitchen well supplied…turned out great!

We had a fantastic time at this home. Supen was a great host and the home had everything we needed for our time there. We were 12 people and we slept well, a bit tight but we were comfortable.

The outdoor firepit, seating, and BBQ made our stay even more fun. Being close to DC you definitely still have the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. From the house looking out you have great views and can’t see any other houses. Definitely recommend staying!

The place is great, it feels isolated but yet is close to grocery stores, and no other house is close by. The house is on a huge amount of land, and it’s great to just sit outside at the fire pit or in the outdoor patio area. Inside it has space for lots of people. Thanks to the owners for your help and letting us stay there! Hope to see you again soon!

My husband and I were lucky enough to find this cottage to have our wedding at. The house was spacious, clean, and inviting. The yard is unbelievable. Everything is well thought out; string lighting, lights under the trees, a fire pit, plenty of space for guests, the yard can be wired for sound, and a patio with plenty of seating that is covered with trees- very romantic. The owners of the home are two of the kindest people you will ever meet. We felt like family. They both went above and beyond.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage house. It really served our purpose well. We were in town for a family wedding and consequently spent little time at the house, only eating breakfast there and relaxing in the evenings. The home is comfortable, clean & has all the amenities a family needs. (Please note the full size bed in the bedroom is a fold out couch. I wasn’t clear about that.) The house is large with both a TV room and living room & a big kitchen table. Cottage like it is, but not cottage in size! The property is Beautiful & located off an easy to find main road. The towels were plush and really dried, which some don’t. Sue went the extra mile for us and we really appreciated her efforts. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again!

The Cottage – A relaxing retreat

Myself and a group of old friends reunited for a relaxing weekend at the Cottage and we were not disappointed! Beautiful surroundings (even on a rainy weekend), convenient to DC and IAD airport, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed nearby wineries (Aspen Dale and Barrel Oak) and the owners were always responsive to any questions we had leading up to our visit. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Today old town has its first summer festival with music on the lawn…I’ve heard there is some great food and vendors galore.

This cottage is amazing! We had such a great time! Sue and Gerry were the sweetest couple and super helpful. The house and land were absolutely beautiful! We had such a good time in the karaoke room it was perfect for our group of girls who love to sing! The 12 of us fit perfectly in the house and had plenty of room! We can’t wait to come back again!

I got together with a large group of my friends for the weekend! It was CLEAN and COZY! But yet spacious and bright! I highly recommend this place for all types of events (bachelorette, family reunion, baby shower, great space for kids and adults). The backyard has a swing set and there is a fire pit with a lot of seating. The house has a garage with a sweet karaoke room. This house is on a beautiful plot of land and is private. It is close to wineries and breweries! They provide linens, towels, pillows, blankets, and kitchen ware. I would stay here again!

Me and my friends stayed at this place for two nights during our vacation. The experiences were wonderful. The house was really charming and large enough to hold 17 people. The weather was cold but the heater worked well. There was a really nice barbecue place and fireplace. The woods for fireplace was offered freely by the host. The scenery was beautiful, as you can see from the photos. Most importantly, the host was really kind and nice, making sure that we had what we need. I will definitely visit this place again!

We had 16 people, a large group.

The cottage not only had enough beds for all of us to sleep,

but also had large living room, dining table & outdoor space including bbq grill and fire pitt for all of us to be together at any time, any place around the cottage.

The house was also very warm, and sometimes even hot in this cold winter.

I absolutely recommend visiting this place if you wish to spend time indoor/outdoor and don’t want to go elsewhere and just enjoy the cottage.

As I walked in the cottage, I fell in love with the cool antique props and furniture! Every part of the cottage was a perfect spot to take photos. The cottage also had an extensive grass field to play games.

And no need to bring your towel because large bath towels are provided for everybody. The towels and blankets were very clean, and all facilities were well-maintained.

Thank you so much Sue & Gerry, for providing such a beautiful getaway for us. We will definitely come back!
